Previously, the wall was constantly tagged with graffiti. The BIAs partnered with Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) University to select and commission two artists, Emily May Rose and Heidi Berton, to beautify the space—which serves as a key entry point to both districts—with a new mural.

“We took the idea of Union Station being the hub of activity in the area by creating a city transportation motif,” Rose explains. “We wanted to show the evolution of ow people continue to get around.”
