A new grant program, launched by Pattison Outdoor, will distribute $1 million in out-of-home media space to non-profit and charitable organizations, to help promote diversity across Canada.
Established in tandem with the company’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, the annual program aims to provide a platform for local organizations dedicated to supporting ethno-cultural groups, the LGBTQ2+ community, women’s equality, and people with disabilities, along with any other groups focused on promoting diversity and inclusion. These organizations will receive an opportunity to expand their outreach with traditional media—especially those serving underrepresented and vulnerable communities.
Submissions for the program are now open. The committee will facilitate the review and selection process.
“Our hope is to be a small part of a greater solution towards creating an equitable and inclusive Canada,” says Steve McGregor, president of Pattison Outdoor. “We’re looking for groups that may not have had the opportunity to share their message on a traditional media stage. We hope local community groups and national groups take advantage of this program.”
