Impulse Graphic & Display Solutions Inc., has acquired a Fujifilm Acuity Ultra press.

The 5-m (197-in.) wide ultraviolet (UV) press features cost-in-use for output high-quality on interior and exterior applications.

“We push the limits,” said Impulse Graphic’s president, Alex Cachia. “We are a unique print-service provider (PSP), with clients in various industries, including automotive, foodservice, and pharmaceuticals that have high expectations. The Acuity Ultra has helped us within the sales process to win new opportunities.”

The printer offers increased size and quality to produce high-end interior graphics where impact and near-photographic quality is required.

With a 3.5 picolitre drop size, the grand-format machine is ideal for the indoor display market—especially for luxury brands—with standards equal to or better than lithography or other wide-format printers.

The Mississauga, Ont., company is also outputting on a variety of substrates such as custom-made interior wallpaper, mesh, and fabric.

“The press allows Impulse to print on different substrates due to the massive format size, multi-roll options, and impressive speed,” said Cachia. “The Acuity Ultra also gives the PSP the ability to profitably create exhibition graphics, point-of-purchase (POP) displays, high-value graphic art, and indoor backlit displays.
