St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake has announced completed upgrades at the Spine Road facility.
The following is the full statement on the wayfinding project issued Monday by hospital CEO Jeremy Stevenson, provided by elliotlaketoday.com:
In 2019, St. Joseph’s General Hospital Elliot Lake initiated a wayfinding project that is now beginning to come to fruition.
External signage on the hospital building has been completed and now includes English, French and Ojibway translations.
In addition, for the first time in its 60-year history, St. Joseph’s General Hospital EL displays the Hospital symbol (“H”) as well as its new logo, both of which will be illuminated and will increase the visibility of the hospital from a distance.
In the next phase, an external sign and all internal directional signage will be updated to improve visibility and ease navigation.
We would like to express our appreciation to all who provided feedback and assistance throughout the consultation and advisory process, both internal and external, to ensure our signage best represented the needs of those we serve.
St. Joeseph’s General Hospital Elliot Lake is pleased to share these improvements and hopeful they will improve accessibility for all members of our community.
