Titan Canada has taken over management of the extensive array of multimedia out-of-home (OOH) advertising at 10 Dundas Street East, a high-visibility multipurpose complex overlooking Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square.
Formerly known as Metropolis and Toronto Life Square (see Sign Media Canada, April 2008, page 24[2]), the building features a 223-m2 (2,400-sf) curved light-emitting diode (LED) video screen, an 8.5 x 32-m (28 x 105-ft) contoured tri-vision billboard and reportedly the largest single-faced vinyl wallscapes in the country. Inside, it offers digital screens, floor graphics, wall banners, pillar wraps and backlit posters. They were most recently operated by Clear Channel Outdoor Canada.
Sometimes referred to as Canada’s Times Square, the busy downtown intersection of Yonge and Dundas Streets includes a subway station, the Eaton Centre shopping mall and more than 1,000 events every year at Yonge-Dundas Square. Titan also operates billboards atop the Hard Rock Café on the other side of the public square.
“The addition of 10 Dundas East makes Titan the largest advertising supplier in Yonge-Dundas Square,” says Jörg Cieslok, executive vice-president (EVP) and general manager (GM) of Titan Canada. “We’re thrilled to offer advertisers the opportunity for complete media coverage of the square.”
