Gridcast Media in Richmond Hill, Ont., recently developed a network of video walls for Canadian information management software developer OpenText’s new corporate offices in downtown Toronto.
To enhance the environment for OpenText’s clients and employees, Gridcast provided initial consulting services to recommend the best ‘fit’ of technology for the offices, the provided project management services and staged, tested and installed the recommended system in three main areas.
First, a recessed, light-emitting diode-based (LED-based) 3 x 3-screen video wall was installed in the main reception area to showcase the company’s offerings, practices and values (pictured, above left). Next, a large-format display was mounted to welcome customers to a briefing area, where a 9 x 6 array of Christie MicroTile digital signage ‘cubes’ were assembled into a concave video wall. Finally, two 3 x 3 video walls were implemented in the boardroom in a curved fashion, following the room’s contours (below).
