Ottawa schools install LED pylon signs

Ottawa-based UTG Digital Media has custom-manufactured and installed two double-sided light-emitting diode (LED) pylon signs for schools administered by the city’s Conseil des Écoles Catholiques du Centre-Est (CECCE).

Collège Catholique Mer Bleue in Navan and École Secondaire Catholique Paul-Desmarais in Stittsville are using the new identification (ID) signs to display the time, the date and upcoming events. The units are weather-resistant from -40 to 50 C (-40 to 122 F), feature dual maintenance modules and allow for online content management via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, 3G or LTE connectivity.

“Informing our students about activities and special events is hassle-free at our end,” says Olivier Mayett, CECCE’s architectural technologist. “We are very pleased with UTG’s professional assistance with the installations.”
