Peterborough sign franchise wins marketing achievement award

Debbie and Morgan Smith, Signarama franchisees in Peterborough, Ont., received the Top Achievement Award in Marketing at the United Franchise Group’s (UFG’s) World Expo last month in Las Vegas, Nev. UFG presents the award to franchisees of its Signarama brand who display expertise and high standards in operating their business. To qualify for the honour, a franchisee must hire a full-time outside sales representative, execute a daily marketing program with clear results, participate in the franchisor’s national advertising fund and use search engine optimization (SEO), social media and the corporate website (www.shopsignarama.com). “It is an honour to be recognized by our corporate office in front of our peers from around the world,” says Debbie. “Signarama goes to great lengths to acknowledge individual efforts.” The Peterborough franchise was previously recognized in 2005 as UFG rookie of the year and in 2007 as Signarama team player of the year. The Smiths have also expanded their franchise into the digital signage sector, partnering with Emmatt Digital Solutions to promote its BallyHoo TV system to their fellow franchisees on an international scale.
