POPAI names interim president

[1]Point-of-Purchase Advertising International (POPAI), an industry association for at-retail marketers, has named John Anderson interim president. He succeeds Richard Winter, who led the organization for five years.

Anderson served on POPAI’s board of directors from 2003 to 2010 and from 2012 to 2014. He was chair from 2009 to 2010 and again from 2013 to 2014.

After Winter announced he would be leaving POPAI to accept the position of CEO of Premier Store Fixtures, the board wanted to ease the executive transition for members and staff, allowing adequate time to search for the next full-time president.

“John has an outstanding reputation within the industry and his experience serving on the board provides the background necessary to keep advancing the association’s positive momentum,” says Rich Carrigan, current chair.
