Last month, Pride Signs in Cambridge, Ont., celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special afternoon event for its 150 employees, featuring a group portrait, paintball, food trucks, cake, gifts and a company trivia contest.
Nearly all of Pride Signs’ staff attended the event, along with the family of Brad Hillis, president. During a presentation, Hillis spoke about how he started the business in the basement of his home in 1986. Today, it operates in an 8,826-m2 (95,000-sf) facility.
“Brad’s speech focused on the enduring spirit and tremendous culture of Pride Signs and its employees, which has led to our continued growth and success,” says Jim Defrain, vice-president (VP) of sales. “He recalled facing numerous challenges and various economic turns while sustaining the business.”
