agfared1[1]Wide-format ultraviolet-curing (UV-curing) inkjet printer manufacturer Agfa Graphics held a ‘red carpet’ event in March for customers at its Canadian competence centre in Mississauga, Ont., where its Jeti Titan printers are built.

In the previous few months, Agfa had invested in growing its technology portfolio at the facility. The open house, the first in a series planned throughout North America, allowed customers to see more of this expanded breadth of technologies, products, applications and services, including the regional debut of the Jeti Titan S and HS printers.

Dominiek Arnout, vice-president (VP) of global operations, visited from Agfa’s world headquarters in Mortsel, Belgium, and led a team of experts sharing the latest research developments in areas like ink formulation and industrial printing applications. Dan Marx, VP of markets and technologies for the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA), also visited from the U.S. to discuss printing trends in the sign and display industry.
