Wide-format inkjet printer/cutter manufacturer Roland has announced changes to its board, including the promotions of Robert Curtis (left) from senior executive director to vice-chair and director and David Goward (right) from executive officer to director.
Curtis joined the company in 1987 and became vice-president (VP) and director of its U.S.-based distribution, sales and marketing subsidiary, Roland DGA, in 1990. In 2008, he was promoted to chair and appointed to the board for the parent corporation in Hamamatsu, Japan. In his new role, he is responsible for global market and talent development.
Goward joined Roland DGA in 1994 and remains its CEO and director. In his new global role, he will oversee sales, marketing and service.
Roland has also named former advisor Hidenori Fujioka director of research and development (R&D), Hamamatsu Photonics president Akira Hiruma outside director and Masayasu Suzuki a member of the audit and supervisory board.
