Wisconsin-based print service provider Push Solutions has installed Fujifilm’s Acuity F and Acuity light-emitting diode (LED) 1600 II printers.
The Acuity F has a maximum speed of more than 148.7 m2 (1600 sq ft) per hour. Print professionals can also select the appropriate production speed to address a wide range of display applications. White ink further extends the application and media range to include clear and coloured substrates. The press maintains all the advantages of the l Acuity Platform, including near-photographic image quality, versatility, ease of use, and has been optimization for the efficient and high-speed production of rigid media applications.
“To go a step further, the versatility of the output is key,” said Push Solutions’ vice-president Nick Bova. “We are printing on a variety of items we never thought were possible, including shelving, drains, and stainless steel.”
The Fujifilm Acuity LED 1600 II is a large-format hybrid printer designed to provide results in an environmentally friendly way. The equipment uses LED- ultraviolet (UV) curing, ink chemistry, print to roll for banners, window displays, or backlit applications, and switches to directly print on rigid boards (including polyethylene terephthalate [PET], acrylic, and polycarbonate substrates) for highquality point-of -purchase (POP) or sign applications, with speeds of 33 m2 (355 sq ft) per hour.
As a result of installing this equipment, Push Solutions experienced an increase in the number employees and realized the need to purchase a cutting table, which led to the installation of Kongsberg C24 cutting table by Fujifilm. By adding this new equipment the company experienced 60 to 80 per cent in savings by not having to outsource. Further, prototypes can be completed internally as opposed to using outside vendors.
