InteliCoat Technologies has introduced a recycling program for its Magic-brand ink cartridges, which are used in large-format digital printers.
Participants will receive up to $2 per cartridge toward a future ink purchase. The program has been extended from the U.S. to Canada, with InteliCoat asking its customers to ship a minimum of 12 cartridges at a time.
“The Magic Ink recycling program will prevent used cartridges from entering landfills,” says Jennifer Chagnon, InteliCoat’s senior marketing manager. “It signifies a major step toward improving our environmental performance.”
The water-resistant inks are designed for use with certain Canon, Roland, Epson and Mutoh printers. They are compatible not only with InteliCoat’s coated paper, film and specialty substrates, but also with other brands of inkjet-printable media, including a wide range of coated and uncoated substrates.
