Toronto’s Ryerson University has appointed Jason Lisi chair of its School of Graphic Communications Management (GCM), effective July 1. He succeeds Ian Baitz, who will continue to serve as a full-time professor.
Lisi started teaching at Ryerson in 2003 as limited-term faculty. He was promoted to assistant professor in 2007 and associate professor in 2012.
Serving also as director of the Print Media Research Centre, Lisi has raised more than $3 million in funding and equipment for the school, which is now reportedly the largest graphics communications learning institution anywhere in North America.
