The Sign Association of Canada (SAC) reports its board’s new director at large is Fred Bennink, president of Zip Signs in Burlington, Ont. He succeeds Robert Corsetti, vice-president (VP) of operations for Pattison Sign Group, who resigned from the board position earlier this year.
Zip Signs was founded in 1971 and Bennink has led the full-service sign company for the past 32 years. During this time, the business has consistently remained profitable and its staff has grown to 80 employees.
In April, Bennink accepted a 2015 Business Excellence Award from the Burlington Chamber of Commerce (pictured). The annual awards recognize local businesses for leadership, innovation, community contributions, customer relations, sales and market growth, entrepreneurships and employee welfare.
