The Weyburn Trails Association (WTA) in Saskatchewan received a $4,000 grant from the Weyburn Credit Union Community Fund in the last week of June. This funding will support the expansion of trails and the installation of new signage.

WTA, formerly known as the Weyburn Mountain Bikers Club, was founded by Mike Manko-Bauche. The organization focuses on building and maintaining trails in Weyburn, Sask., ensuring they are accessible for walking, running, and biking, while excluding motorized vehicles except for Class 1 e-bikes. The Weyburn Credit Union awarded over $68,000 in grants from their Community Fund. The funds provided to the WTA will be used to enhance the accessibility and visibility of the trails for the community.

The WTA emphasizes that their trails are open for various activities, including walking, running, and biking. They encourage the community to come out and enjoy the Souris Singletrack Trails, located near the Weyburn Heritage Village.
