SickKids unveils interactive digital table

[1]Samsung Electronics Canada has set up an interactive digital environment on the ninth floor of Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), featuring a table-mounted touch screen that allows patients and visitors to access apps and games.

The Samsung Space is part of an ongoing, multi-year partnership with SickKids, along with a $1-million donation to the hospital. Open to in-patients and their families six days a week, it houses a 1.9-m (75-in.) ultra-high-definition (UHD) TV for movie nights, virtual reality (VR) headsets, digital cameras and tablet computers.

“We hope this new space can make a difference by providing fun experiences,” says Mark Childs, chief brand officer for Samsung Canada.
