Today, the Sign Association of Canada (SAC) announced a significant transformation for its annual event, shifting to a new format with the launch of Sign Experience Canada. The two-day conference, scheduled for October 2-3, 2025, at the Marriott on the Falls in Niagara Falls, Ont., aims to offer industry professionals a more focused and interactive experience, emphasizing business opportunities, education, and networking.

Sign Experience Canada will feature intimate, conference-style programming in a departure from the traditional trade show format. Attendees can expect an immersive event that balances professional growth with fun activities tailored to foster greater collaboration. This revamped approach also coincides with SAC’s 70th anniversary, a milestone that will be highlighted throughout the event.

According to Erik Houde, vice president of SAC, the changes are intended to boost engagement and create a more valuable experience for both attendees and exhibitors. “With Sign Experience Canada, we are creating a high-engagement environment where attendees and supplier members can connect, learn, and build lasting business relationships,” says Houde. The goal is to provide attendees with opportunities for meaningful interactions through targeted networking events, educational seminars, and hands-on product showcases.

The event will incorporate several key features aimed at enhancing the participant experience. These include specialized networking events such as C-Suite coffee chats and breakout sessions focused on industry challenges and trends. Additionally, tabletop exhibits will replace traditional booth setups, allowing suppliers to engage directly with potential clients in a more personal, face-to-face setting. The annual awards gala, including the Best of Canada’s Sign Industry (BOCSI) Awards, co-hosted with Sign Media Canada, will continue to be a key event component.

In addition to professional development, the conference will offer a range of offsite activities, including a golf tournament and tours of the Niagara region’s famous landmarks. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore Niagara’s Clifton Hills district, home to several award-winning sign installations.

The new format offers a more targeted approach to building business relationships for supplier members. At the same time, participants will benefit from this combination of education, networking, and leisure activities designed to make the event both productive and enjoyable.
