Graham Wark has been appointed Canadian president of lighting manufacturer Osram Sylvania, effective immediately. He succeeds James Johnson, who has been named president and general manager (GM) of Valeo Sylvania, which specializes in automotive lighting.
Based in Mississauga, Ont., Wark assumes overall responsibility for operations and support functions in all sales channels, including those for the sign industry. Reporting to Rick Leaman, president and CEO of Osram Sylvania, he will focus on growing the Canadian business and transitioning to light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
Wark has 25 years’ experience with the company, having joined in 1987 as a design engineer in an electronic components and materials plant in Bangor, Me. Over the subsequent 25 years, he helped expand the company’s lighting and service capabilities, serving as plant manager, strategic business unit GM and, most recently, vice-president (VP) of Sylvania’s lighting services.
