Toronto-based Eventscape recently engineered, fabricated and installed a 7.9 x 7.3-m (26 x 24-ft) storefront façade, including signage, for sunglasses and watch retailer Spareparts at the city’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

Illuminated channel letters were painted black on both sides, finished with a frosted acrylic face and mounted on an aluminum flat bar. The façade also featured a wall cladding of fibre-reinforced concrete panels, which were prefinished in a custom colour; an engineered steel frame and support structure; window glazing units; and monolithic window frames.

Finally, to enable the addition of temporary signage, the display case portal window frame integrated recessed lights and two metal channels in the soffit for a poster track system.
