crop3[1]Mutoh America recently began shipping its new ValuJet 628 printer—which uses scratch-resistant, fast-drying Eco-Ultra inks—to sign shops in the Canadian market.

The 0.6-m (2-ft) wide signage printer can reportedly produce output at up to 40.2 m2 (433 sf) per hour, which Mutoh calls the fastest speed in its class. Its compact size is intended for printing point-of-purchase (POP) graphics, decals, corporate graphics and other promotional signage, along with stickers, custom T-shirts and other small-format applications.

Like other ValueJet models, the 628 features Mutoh’s intelligent interweave (i2) printing technology to virtually eliminate banding (unwanted lines) in printed graphics and the ValueJet Status Monitor (VSM) app for remote printer monitoring. It takes 220-mL (7.4-oz) ink cartridges.
