Christie, which develops digital signage technologies at its Canadian headquarters (HQ) in Kitchener, Ont., has hired Gary Klassen as director of solutions software. He was previously director of architecture and innovation for BlackBerry in neighbouring Waterloo.
In his new role, Klassen will lead a research and development (R&D) team focused on expanding the capabilities of Christie’s software for applications like large-scale projection mapping.
“It’s a wonderful time in the vibrant Waterloo region for technology development,” he says. “I’m excited to be part of Christie and look forward to developing creative and innovative solutions for our customers that are easy to deploy.”
