Digital signs have been installed at the Shoeless Joe’s restaurant chain’s flagship Toronto location, in an effort to both draw new customers in and then promote food and drinks while they are sitting down.
The project marks a new collaboration between interactive display software developer Acquire Digital and its recently appointed partner RadiantGroup, a Toronto-based supplier of interactive digital signs and kiosks.
“RadiantGroup is moving quickly with good-looking and innovative uses of our technology, such as this one,” says Neil Farr, Acquire’s managing director. “It is great to see it pushed further than traditional digital menu boards and it is proving a great way to entice potential customers.”
The screens advertise what is happening inside the sports bar and allow menus to be changed throughout the day. To help pay for the system, brand advertisers like Heineken (pictured) are using the displays to market their products.
Shoeless Joe’s is now looking to roll the technology out to more of its restaurants.
