Montreal-based in-store media provider Stingray Business has transformed the customer experience in Sports Experts stores in Quebec City and Laval, Que., with the addition of digital signage displays and content.
Stingray, which entered the digital signage industry by acquiring Groupe Viva in February 2015, has installed tactile display ‘cubes’ with transparent screens (pictured, top), synchronized multi-screen video walls and interactive shoe displays with radio frequency identification (RFID) chips (middle) and ‘ringboard’ light-emitting diode (LED) screens (bottom).
“The objective of these digital makeovers is to evoke the same powerful emotions customers get from sports and outdoor activities,” says Pierre Gendron, vice-president (VP) of Stingray’s digital experience group. “The results represent our vision for the store of the future.”
