Substrate manufacturer promotes corporate leader

3M, which manufactures films and substrates for the sign and graphics industry, has appointed Kristen Ludgate senior vice-president (SVP) of corporate communications and enterprise services, effective Jan. 1, 2018.

Ludgate joined the company in 2008 as senior counsel for legal affairs. Over the years, she has served as chief compliance officer and, most recently, vice-president (VP) of global human resources (HR) business operations. In her new role, she will succeed Kimberly Price, who announced plans to retire on Mar. 1, 2018.

“Kristen is a highly accomplished leader with a proven track record across multiple functions at 3M,” says Inge Thulin, president, CEO and chair. “Her deep knowledge, understanding of our company and strong professional reputation make her ideal for this important role.”
