Swoop has unveiled its livery by branding the first of six Boeing 737-800NG aircraft with a magenta logo and accented tailfin and winglets. Positioning itself as Canada’s only ultra-low-cost carrier, the airline is preparing to launch operations on June 20.
The graphics were first revealed with a teaser image via social media, followed by official photos of the livery—including its magenta logo and accented tailfin and winglets—and time-lapse footage of the aircraft being painted (see video). The plane is named #Hamilton as a nod to the airline’s first base at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.
“The delivery of our first aircraft is an exciting milestone as we begin the final countdown to our operational launch,” says Steven Greenway, Swoop’s president and CEO. “Canada’s skies are going to get a little more colourful!”
