Synnex Canada has signed a new agreement to distribute Brighter Signs’ Topaz digital signage products throughout the country.

Based in the U.K., Brighter Signs designs commercial-grade displays (example pictured) for advertising and point-of-sale (POS) applications. Synnex Canada will initially offer the 254-mm (10-in.) display model, based on Philips’ HalO technology, to its customers.

“Having Synnex sign up to distribute Topaz is very exciting,” says John Wheating, president of Topaz Digital in Canada. “As a tier-one distributor, they bring instant access to thousands of value-added resellers (VARs) across Canada. In addition, they have a dedicated focus on POS, which is the target market for the 254-mm product.”

With a built-in media player, the display is small enough to be integrated into quick-service restaurants (QSRs’) POS terminals or installed in stores as ‘shelf talkers,’ where large-format screens would not be practical.
