Global Garage, which buys, sells and cleans used wide- to grand-format printing equipment and accessories through an online marketplace, has hired Kevin Giefer as its new parts and printhead technician.
Giefer’s experience combines sales and customer relations with technical expertise. He has performed system diagnostics, installed industrial control devices, established system guiding operations and created and maintained inventories.
In his new role, he will be responsible for providing technical assistance in cleaning, refurbishing, testing, assembling and restoring printheads and other parts for Vutek, Agfa and HP Scitex grand-format presses, as well as overseeing inventory storage, labelling and shipping.
“Since the launch of our ‘parts depot’ online store, we’ve seen an increase in repeat and international business, especially when it comes to printhead cleaning,” explains Mike Altreuter, president of Global Garage. “This has resulted in the need to bring on more support. With his background, Kevin is the perfect fit for customer follow-through and problem solving.”
