Sharp Electronics of Canada has hired Francis Langel as a product and technology manager for its visual solutions group, which supplies digital signage displays through audiovisual (AV) and information technology (IT) sales channels.
Langel has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry, having held a variety of technical and product management roles at wholesale IT distributors Synnex Canada and EMJ Data Systems (which Synnex acquired in 2004). In his new role, he will focus on further developing Sharp’s commercial display market in Canada.
“I am excited to start a new challenge and look forward to being part of the Sharp team,” he says.
Langel succeeds Hiroshi Kobayashi, who was recently promoted to a newly created position as national account manager for the visual solutions group.
