National telecommunications carrier Telus has formed a new agreement with software provider Stratacache to create a suite of services for small to large business customers, dubbed Telus Digital Media Solutions.

Under the strategic partnership, Stratacache’s ActiVia for Media is being deployed on the carrier’s fourth-generation (4G) wireless network across Canada to allow businesses to adjust their digital signage content through a straightforward interface. The software suite includes digital video and audio content caching and streaming, with Telus also providing comprehensive high-definition (HD) screen installation, management, operation and maintenance.

The goal of the service is to support everything from individual restaurants posting daily specials to large corporations broadcasting live interviews with executives across multiple locations.

“Today, many organizations are looking to capitalize on digital media to build brand awareness, increase their competitive advantage and strengthen customer relationships,” says Tony Krueck, vice-president (VP) of business products and services for Telus. “This service means our clients will have the necessary tools to assemble engaging content and communicate with their audience at the right place and time.”
