The Canadian Brewhouse’s newest location recently opened in Saskatoon, featuring a 325-m2 (3,500-sf) patio equipped with six SunBriteDS weatherproof digital signs, which can reportedly function in temperatures as low as -40 C (-40 F) and as high as 50 C (122 F).
“SunBriteDS was the only manufacturer in this category that could offer outdoor TVs that would stand up to our extreme weather,” says Jim Martyn, business advancement manager for The Canadian Brewhouse, which was founded in Edmonton in 2002 and opened 14 locations within Alberta before expanding into Saskatchewan. “Every location now has SunBriteDS displays on the patio, but Saskatoon is our biggest patio yet.”
While the higher temperatures are uncommon for the chain’s restaurants, the uncovered displays must deal with direct sunlight, so they feature extended solar tolerance to prevent isotropic screen blackouts.
“From the glare of daylight to the dark of night, the displays have consistently provided a clear, full, high-definition (HD) image,” says Martyn.
