Signa[1]Universal Lighting Technologies has debuted the Signa product line, a series of light-emitting diode (LED) chains for illuminating signs.

A single 60-W power supply can support both 80- and 100-lumens-per-foot lighting of channel letters and other signs. Universal has also introduced the Q-can driver for wet locations, which allows direct wiring connections without the need for an additional enclosure.

To ensure reliable performance, the LED modules are protected with a weather-resistant coating, which is applied to the circuit board to prevent moisture from damaging the components. The chains can reportedly operate at temperatures ranging from -40 to 60 C (-40 to 140 F).

An installer-friendly module fastening system is designed to save time and labour. It includes an adhesive tape and a side tab hole for fasteners. In tight letter applications, the side tab hole can easily be removed.
