The Look Company, a visual communications provider headquartered in Barrie, Ont., has been shortlisted for three 2018 Federation of European Screen Printers Associations (FESPA) Awards. The winners will be announced in May at FESPA’s Global Print Expo in Berlin, Germany.
Digitally printed paddock wrap graphics and a fabric-based hoarding wall (pictured, left) at the Losail International Circuit (LIC) in Doha, Qatar, have been nominated in the decals and roll-to-roll (RTR) printed textiles categories, respectively. The Look Company produced both projects in the run-up to the World Moto Grand Prix, which was held at the LIC in March 2017.
An indoor AstroTurf wall (pictured, right) for the organizers of Qatar’s forthcoming 2022 Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup, meanwhile, has been shortlisted in the non-printed signage category.
“This year’s award entries are wide-ranging and innovative,” says Graeme Richardson-Locke, FESPA’s head of technical support and one of the judges.
