Signage Source in Pickering, Ont., has expanded its equipment portfolio with the installation of an Acuity Advance HS printer, an Esko Kongsberg i-XL24 finishing table and an Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 printer from Fujfilm Canada.

Rob Press, owner, says the purchasing decision was made after the company’s existing flatbed printer was no longer sufficient on its own to fulfil increasing demand for indoor graphics requiring higher resolution.

“We would have had to slow it down considerably to produce prints to meet our indoor standards,” he explains. “The Acuity’s 1,200-dpi output and in-line ‘true white’ were what we needed to keep our commitment to superb quality. We make a point of educating our clients about the difference. We want them to make an informed decision.”

Signage Source has been in business since 2003 and has operated out of its current 1,579-m² (17,000-sf) facility since 2007, with 15 employees. Its customers include creative agencies, marketing firms and retail outlets across Canada.
