edit[1]Audiovisual (AV) system integrator Advanced, based in Mississauga, Ont., has designed and installed a rear-projection light-emitting diode (LED) ‘cube’ video wall for the Toronto Transit Commission’s (TTC’s) control room.

Custom-engineered to match the room’s concave curvature, where it has replaced a 15-year-old system, the new video wall is made up of 2-m (80-in.) LED cubes from Delta Displays, each of which showcases four separate camera feeds, along with status updates for the TTC’s subway lines and other transit networks.

“Most importantly, the video wall is easily serviceable, as it provides rear access to the displays without affecting the image presented at the front,” explains Mark McPherson, vice-president (VP) of Advanced. “We can change or repair a cube without affecting the rest of the video wall, which is important in this type of operation.”
