Print finishing distributor Sydney Stone, in partnership with Duplo, Ricoh, and Xante, is hosting a two-day open house at its Toronto location on Sept. 14 and 15.

During this event, there will be live demonstrations on a wide range of products, including the Xante X-33 ultraviolet (UV) flatbed printer, which will be producing pieces finished on the Duplo DPC 600 digital die cutter. An in-house Ricoh C-5300 series printer will also be printing a variety of outputs, which will then be embellished on the Duplo DDC-810 raised spot UV system and the DFL-500 laminator and foiling system.

These enhanced pieces will be used on book covers bound on the Duplo DB-290 and the new DC-648, while the DC-618 slitter cuter creasers will be displaying the automation capability of using the Fiery workflow matched with the Ricoh print engine to read bar codes and automatically pull job files to finish the specific piece without operator intervention.

“We are extremely excited to partner with Duplo, Ricoh, and Xante for this interactive two-day event for our customers showcasing automation to streamline operations, build new profit centres, and to showcase new products in a way we have not been able to for the last two years,” says Sydney Stone’s national sales manager Stephen Longmire. “We will have industry experts from Duplo, Xante, Ricoh, and members from our team available to answer any questions or provide samples and live demonstrations.”

Attendees will also have the chance to win door prizes by random draw on both days. Anyone interested in the event can register here.
