Canadian Out-of-Home Marketing and Measurement Bureau (COMMB) president Amanda Dorenburg will co-moderate an interactive panel discussion surrounding sustainability in the out-of-home (OOH) market, from the United Nations (UN) headquarters on Oct. 12.

As part of Digital Signage Week in New York City, the discussion aims to elevate the event’s environment-focused programming, as well as provide insights and collaboration options for industry leaders.

Dorenburg will co-moderate the presentation with Dominic-Madori Davis, senior reporter for TechCrunch. The panel will also include Lisa Peterson, owner of Aftan Engineering; Keith Kaplan, global CEO of Kinetic Worldwide; and Douglas Ragan, management officer for UN-Habitat, the UN’s Human Settlements Program.

The discussion will address the issues behind understanding and adopting sustainable practices, as well as the reasoning behind customer and employee expectations for companies to foster social co-operation and environmental stewardship.

“It’s an honour to represent COMMB by co-chairing this panel,” says Dorenberg. “It’s a testament to COMMB members’ willingness to build and expand their sustainability efforts. This programming is part of our commitment to provide resources and educate the OOH advertising industry on how it can make a real difference in the world. It will lay the groundwork and spur creative approaches to ensuring a cleaner, greener, healthier planet.”
