LogoJet has donated a UV2400 ultraviolet-curing (UV-curing) light-emitting diode (LED) direct-to-substrate model printer to the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) for testing and educational purposes.
SGIA plans to use the printer to learn more about full-colour ink adhesion on a variety of materials, colours and shapes of substrates, then share that information with the industry through a comprehensive, hands-on instructional program.
“We are very appreciative to LogoJet for their gift,” says Ray Weiss, digital imaging specialist for SGIA. “I’m frequently asked about UV ink adhesion. This printer will afford us the opportunity to develop a workshop to help answer those questions.”
