Audi1Astral Out of Home reports its new Grand Central Wall, installed at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), is the first large-format light-emitting diode (LED) video wall with 4-mm (0.16-in.) pixel pitch to be used for advertising in any Canadian airport.

Luxury car manufacturer Audi is the first exclusive advertiser to use the 3.7 x 6.4-m (12 x 21-ft) high-definition (HD) ‘digital landmark,’ which is located in Air Canada’s departures hall in YVR’s domestic terminal.

“This installation is the first of several new digital landmarks that will be deployed at the airport in the coming months,” says Benjamin Mathieu, Astral’s general manager (GM) for airports. “We are also introducing digital signage networks at departures and arrivals to adapt clients’ long- and short-term advertising buys.”

Astral won the out-of-home (OOH) advertising contract for YVR in June 2015.
