IMG_5156 copy[1]Out-of-home (OOH) advertising firm Pattison Outdoor recently partnered with Crime Stoppers, the Vancouver Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to help promote a ‘cash for guns’ campaign to get illegal firearms off the street.

In a project that aims to collect 500 or more handguns across Greater Vancouver, Pattison has donated OOH ad space on billboards, posters and street-level signage throughout the market. The campaign began in the summer and will continue until December, offering rewards of up to $2,000 for tips leading to the seizure of illegal guns.

“Our donation of media space is just a small portion of a large campaign to help clean up the gang issues that plague the Metro Vancouver area,” says Steve McGregor, Pattison’s vice-president (VP) and general manager (GM) for the Pacific region. “We feel it is necessary to help share the importance of taking action.”
