[1] The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) launched its newest exhibition, Pompeii: In the Shadow of the Volcano, earlier this month with an outdoor video projection that transformed the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal into an erupting Mount Vesuvius.
Lighting up Toronto’s Bloor Street West, the nighttime multimedia show was part of a new marketing campaign by BT/A Advertising. Images of Mount Vesuvius were projected onto the crystal—an iconic extension of the original ROM building—throughout the week of June 8, culminating in the eruption on June 12, accompanied by fireworks and audio.
BT/A’s marketing campaign will continue for the duration of the exhibition, until January 2016, featuring streetcar wraps, signage at Billy Bishop Airport and zone wraps at Dundas subway station, among other elements.
