Video wall rented for White House Correspondents’ Dinner

APG Rentals, based in Mississauga, Ont., recently designed and installed a temporary light-emitting diode (LED) video wall for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, one of the highest-profile annual political events in the U.S.

The video wall comprised an array of 5 x 12 LED tiles with a pixel pitch of 2.9 mm (0.11 in.), which filled a space at the event’s dining hall from floor to ceiling. It featured ‘wings’ at each side, with tiles tilting inward, and showcased photos and other images from the past year.

“After a demonstration of our hyper-pixel technology, the event’s designers were very impressed,” says David Weatherhead, APG’s president. “We worked with them over several months to adhere to their budget while delivering a stunning display. We look forward to working with them again next year!”
