Leyard provided five TWS-series fine-pitch light-emitting diode (LED) video walls for NBC Sports Group’s U.S. broadcast coverage of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
The systems, installed at NBC’s set within the Olympics’ international broadcast centre, include a 13 x 4-m (43 x 13-ft) video wall comprising 196 displays, a 4.9 x 2.4-m (16 x 8-ft) video wall comprising 36 displays and three smaller 1.2 x 2.1-m (4 x 7-ft) video walls in the athlete interview area.
“We are thrilled to showcase these displays within our studio,” says Michael Sheehan, NBC Olympics co-ordinating director. “The seamless integration of this technology within our scenic design enhances the way we cover and present stories.”
