Vinyl manufacturer votes in new CEO

Mitchell R. Butier, president and chief operating officer (COO) of pressure-sensitive vinyl manufacturer Avery Dennison, will also serve as CEO starting May 1, following an election by the board of directors and an annual meeting of stockholders.

Butier succeeds current CEO and chair Dean Scarborough, who will continue to serve the board as executive chair.

“Mitch has been at the centre of our most successful business strategies,” says Scarborough. “He has been the driver behind increasing the higher-value market segments of our portfolio and is a champion of the values, integrity and ethical standards that define Avery.”
