Vistar Media, a leading provider of out-of-home (OOH) media technology solutions, has appointed Sean Cheyney as its head of retail media. This move marks a strategic move to integrate Vistar’s OOH solutions within the retail media ecosystem. In this newly established global role, Cheyney will spearhead Vistar’s retail media strategy, focusing on delivering value to retailers, agency partners, and brands through advanced digital out-of-home (DOOH) solutions. Based in the U.S., Cheyney will also oversee retail media operations in Canada as well as Vistar’s other global markets.
Vistar aims to connect digital retail media with the physical world. As most commerce occurs in-store, DOOH provides an ideal opportunity for retailers to engage customers and for brands to reach consumers at every point—whether inside, around, or on the way to a store. Cheyney’s expertise aligns with Vistar’s 2025 goal of becoming the leading DOOH partner for retail media networks worldwide. His role will encompass both driving the company’s global expansion and reinforcing its presence in the retail space.

Speaking about his new role with Sign Media Canada, Cheyney expressed enthusiasm about Canadian retail opportunities. “I’m looking forward to helping Canadian retailers integrate in-store screens into their retail media business, enabling them to unlock new revenue streams,” he said.

Cheyney, a recognized retail media leader, brings more than 20 years of experience in digital and traditional media. He previously served as the executive vice president of Global Retailer Sales at CitrusAd and played a critical role in its rebranding as Epsilon Retail Media.
