On December 11 and 18, 2012, printer/cutter vendor Roland DGA will present a new two-part webinar with ‘tips and tricks’ for raster image processor (RIP) software, focusing on Pantone spot colour management.
With a simplified workflow, any Pantone colour from a design file can be converted to a cyan, magenta, yellow and key/black (CMYK) value that can in turn be reproduced with any Roland inkjet printer. VersaWorks is supported by 16 libraries in total, including six new Pantone libraries and Roland’s colour system, which features more than 1,500 traditional and metallic hues. The company’s training and education division, Roland Academy, will begin with an overview of its VersaWorks RIP software spot colour replacement features on December 11, then follow up with a discussion of Pantone colour libraries on December 18. Together, the webinars are designed to help users quickly and easily replace any defined spot colour from a design file with another from a library, without accessing the source file.
To date, Roland Academy’s webinar program has attracted more than 5,000 participants. For further details, visit www.rolanddga.com/academy.
