The Women in Print Alliance, part of the PRINTING United Alliance, has launched new programs and membership benefits to honour women in the printing industry during Women’s History Month and throughout the year. These initiatives aim to foster professional growth, facilitate meaningful connections, and advocate for increased diversity and inclusion within the sector.
The organization’s Women’s History Month theme for 2025, “Women Educating & Inspiring Generations,” reflects the presence of four generations of women in the industry. “There are tremendous opportunities to learn from and inspire one another,” said Lisbeth Lyons Black, director of Women in Print Alliance.
In 2024, the Alliance introduced a formalized paid membership program offering benefits such as career development workshops, executive leadership training, and industry recognition. Memberships are available for individuals, corporations, and students. The inaugural membership rate is $59 through July 30, 2025.
New initiatives for 2025 include regional meetups and the annual Women in Print Luncheon at PRINTING United Expo in Orlando, Fla., on October 23, featuring keynote speaker Joan Moon. An online Membership Directory will also launch in March to facilitate professional networking.
Media brands in the printing industry will actively highlight women’s contributions through various formats, including podcasts, interviews, and written features. They will launch a new podcast focusing on women leaders, releasing multiple episodes throughout March. Additionally, they will conduct interviews with prominent figures in the industry. Each week, they will publish profiles to recognize women in the field and run a dedicated series to further emphasize their impact on the industry.
