World’s biggest paint swatch earns OPIA award

[1]CJ Graphics in Mississauga, Ont., has won an Excellence in Print Award in the digital and large- to grand-format categories from the Ontario Printing & Imaging Association (OPIA) for producing the ‘world’s biggest paint swatch’ for Canadian Tire.

The 3,252-m² (35,000-sf) graphic was created last year for the launch of Canadian Tire’s new Premier paint line. Featuring 185 of the 1,000-plus colours in the product line, it was displayed in a parking lot north of Toronto for a bird’s-eye view by Cabin Pressure and Game of Homes stars Colin McAallister and Justin Ryan during a helicopter ride.

OPIA handed out the annual awards late last month at St. George’s Golf and Country Club in Toronto.
