You’ll see right through these digital signs

Groupe Viva in Boisbriand, Que., has reportedly launched North America’s first refrigerator with a transparent liquid crystal display (LCD), as a digital merchandising fixture for Molson Coors Brewing.

The digital signage developer will deploy the concept across 40 Couche-Tard convenience stores and in bars and clubs in Greater Montreal. The transparent screens will promote Coors Light beer with the slogan, “T’en veux une froide?” (“Who wants a cold one?”).

“We are very proud to partner with Coors Light, the bestselling brand of beer in Quebec and Canada,” says Pierre Gendron, CEO of Groupe Viva. “Our objective is to combine advances in technology and digital content and make them accessible to retail chains.”
